Gas appliances require regular servicing in order to ensure your safety as well ensuring the appliance is operating efficiently. Manufacturers recommend annual servicing and this is usually a condition of their guarantee’s and extended warranties. In most cases, insurance companies will only provide policies on appliances which are regularly serviced.

Landlords are required by law to have their gas appliances “safety checked” annually. Whilst servicing of appliances is not obligatory we would recommend that, because appliances require a safety certificate, it makes economical sense to have the appliance serviced at the same time.

Sometimes it may be more economical to replace old boilers. Given potential repair costs and the fact older appliances use a lot more gas it can be more beneficial in the longer term to replace old, inefficient appliances. A modern condensing boiler can increase efficiency to produce a conversion rate of up to 97%. Even replacing a 15 year old boiler with a new high-efficiency, fan assisted equivalent will save up to 20% on fuel costs. We can of course provide a free estimate on request.

We are also accredited to provide Energy Performance Certificates which are required by all domestic Landlords for rented properties (lasts for 10 years)
